Our understanding of defense centers on protecting life, preventing harm, resolving disputes peacefully, and pursuing lawful remedies.
1. Peaceful Resolution
We seek to resolve disagreements through respectful dialogue, mediation, and lawful processes. We reject violence, threats, intimidation, armed rebellion, and the forcible overthrow of any government.
2. Community Safety
We encourage citizens to care for one another, report threats to the appropriate authorities, and seek assistance from established emergency services when needed.
3. Emergency Preparedness
We support lawful preparation for natural disasters and other emergencies through first aid, evacuation planning, communication, and assistance to vulnerable community members.
4. Digital Safety
We promote responsible cybersecurity practices to protect personal information, communications, and community resources.
5. Protection of Faith and Heritage
We seek to preserve our religious practices, cultural traditions, and historical records through peaceful education, stewardship, and lawful advocacy.
6. Cooperation
We welcome peaceful cooperation with communities, organizations, and public authorities in support of safety and humanitarian service.
7. Scope of This Statement
This declaration expresses our principles and commitments. It does not authorize military or paramilitary activity, compulsory service, violence, or the exercise of police powers. It does not exempt anyone from applicable law.
